Director - Senior Vice President
Vassil has over 20 years of insurance underwriting experience in London's Delegated Authority and Open Market space. During his tenure, he has worked in various underwriting roles for Goshawk Syndicate, Markel Syndicate, Brit Syndicate, and previously HDI Global Specialty. In that capacity, he built and managed different lines of business with a team of underwriters. He is directly responsible for leading, developing, and managing our European Operation, strategically working with, and maintaining brokers, clients, and market relationships.
Chris Van Grieken
Director of Underwriting
With 21 years of experience in the insurance industry, underwriting and broking, Chris has built international expertise in predominantly property-focused lines of business. He took his first steps in the insurance industry with Belgian independent broker Vanbreda, as a Property Account Manager. Then, Chris transitioned to the insurers' side, evolving from junior underwriter Property with Gerling Belgium to Underwriting and Administration Manager with HDI Global. Before joining CannGen Insurance, he was a Senior Underwriter Property & Energy for over six years with AIG Belgium. Chris will lead CannGen Europe's Underwriting team and be responsible for developing business opportunities. In addition, he will be the first point of contact for European brokers and clients.
